A retirement service is being held for Pastor Jim Markus on January 14, 2024, 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, OR. President Paul Linnemann presiding. A reception will follow. Or you can participate by joining the zoom meeting # 501 288 5254 Passcode 675675.
Jim graduated Concordia Seminary St. Louis in 1986. He served St. John’s in Waterbury CT from 1986-89, where he also vicared, Mt. Olive in Shelton, WA 1989-2004, and Trinity Cottage Grove from 2004 till his retirement. He and Elizabeth plan to remain in Cottage Grove.
Attending pastors are encouraged to robe (red) and share a scriptural blessing as part of the service.
