SUMMARY:Zion Lutheran Church Open House and Organ Concert
DESCRIPTION:Zion Lutheran Church\, designed by Oregon’s most famous architect and the first modern sacred space in Portland\, will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its building on Saturday\, May 3\, with an organ recital and open house. The free event\, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.\, will also have presentations on the building’s timeless architecture by Pietro Belluschi. \nOriginal blueprints of Zion Lutheran Church and other memorabilia will be on display during the May 3 open house. Also speaking are Pastor Jim Pressnell and Brian Fleener\, an architect congregant\, about the congregation’s appreciation for the building.
