Job Description – Teacher Aide
Mission Statement
The Christian Preschool of Atonement Lutheran shares God’s love through Jesus Christ in south Seattle. We assist and work together with parents to nurture and develop the whole child – spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
Requirements:
-The Teacher Aide is a regularly-attending member of an LCMS congregation.
-Demonstrates Christian character.
-Agrees to regular criminal background checks.
-Has a current Food Handler’s Permit and CPR/First Aid certificate.
-Has two years of early childhood experience (desired).
Teacher Aide Hours:
-Approximately 18 hours/week
Classroom Duties:
-Follow all reasonable policies given by the Preschool Committee, Director, and Teacher.
-Assist the Teacher in supervising the class throughout the day.
-Follow the Teacher Aide Daily Procedures, including classroom set-up, snack preparation, and clean-up.
-Make the majority of the trips to the bathroom with the children, following our Bathroom Procedures.
-Attend required staff meetings and Preschool events.
