Dear Lord, as we celebrate a new year, it marks a beginning for some, while for others it is more of the same with the same challenges. Change is not necessarily a word that we like. How we handle change is up to us. Let us pray that when change and challenges come around this year, we look to YOU for help. 2023 brings newness of life for many, while others will grieve for those they have recently lost. Death and sickness are all around. Relationships can fracture and break. And when we watch the news and look at our communities, we do not always see things getting any better. Lord, as life challenges us, may we look to you for support. May we remember each and every new day to thank you for sending Jesus, your only son, to be our redeemer now and forever more. We pray…Lord Jesus, as we go forward in 2023, help us share your forgiveness, grace, and love with those we meet daily in our lives. Holy Spirit, grant to us the strength and willingness to share what you have done in our lives and in the lives of others. May we go forward this year accepting all the challenges and changes in our lives. In your name Jesus, we pray…
