“Many of our students do not come from Christian backgrounds, and so many of them are hearing about Jesus for the first time,” said Hope Senior Pastor Peter Mueller.
In a changing Seattle neighborhood, Hope Lutheran Church and School found itself landlocked, until God made a way. In this brand new video below, watch how a closed high school became a gateway for expanding Gospel-centered education, thanks to support from LCEF.
“This was our one shot to have a gym of our own and to have additional classroom space, additional parking in our neighborhood,” Mueller said. “LCEF has helped to make it possible for Hope to take this big step into the future, trusting God to reach more students and their families with the love of Jesus here in our community.”
“Our school is currently about 180 students,” said Hope Principal Kristen Okabayashi. “It really helped us gain space. We were able to add a preschool class on our main campus, we moved all of our elementary program upstairs at our main campus, and then we moved all of our middle school over to the North campus, which is where I’m at right now. And then we’re also using a beautiful science lab and a really nice roomy art room for all of our students.”
