Call Processes

Calling a new leader is a critical moment in the life of a congregation and requires prayer, patience, and discernment. The call process – guided by the Holy Spirit -- seeks to make a match: each candidate has skills, abilities, and experiences that may or may not match the congregation. The District President personally works with congregations on pastoral call lists and assists them in considering appropriate matches with pastoral candidates. Not only is this what we are trained to do to support you, it is also a requirement of “walking together” in the LCMS. Do not hesitate to reach out to us about the call process.
