Psalm 92 begins with an invitation: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord. To sing praises to your name, O Most High.” In this season of thanks, we thank God for all sorts of harvest blessings from the pumpkin pie and turkey we eat to the table full of family and friends we join to eat it with. When Jesus spoke of harvest blessings and praying for them, he had in mind another gift. “Pray earnestly to the Lord of harvest to send out laborers into his harvest,” Jesus said in Luke 10:2.
In this Thanksgiving edition of Six Mission Minutes, we offer a word of thanks to our God for all those institutions of our church that prepare people to be workers for the Lord’s harvest, and you’ll get to hear a word of thanks from some of those students as well. Watch the video below.
