Philippians Workshop at BSLC

On behalf of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (BSLC) Board of Stewardship we would like to invite you and the lay leaders in your congregation to the Philippians Workshop we are hosting on Saturday March 2, 2024. The workshop will be led by Pastor Meador from LCMS Stewardship and will take place from 9:00 AM to around 3:30 PM.
A description of the workshop based on the information from the LCMS website: a face-to-face workshop for pastors and lay leaders is the best way to get congregations off square one regarding stewardship. One of the goals of the workshop is to bring together pastoral and lay leadership to discuss stewardship in their congregation.
The workshop does not cost for participants, but we will take a free will offering to offset Pastor Meador’s travel expenses. Lunch will also be provided for attendees. Since we are hosting the workshop on a Saturday the schedule is different than the one listed on the flyer at lcms.org (stewardship ministry).
Schedule for the BSLC hosted workshop:
9:00 AM Attendees arrive, opportunity to meet and greet
9:30 AM Opening devotion (all attendees)
9:45 AM Introduction to theology and practice of stewardship in the parish 11:30 AM Lunch (provided)
1:00 PM Congregational stewardship culture (congregational member discussion)
3:30 PM Wrap-up
We are asking those who would like to attend to RSVP by February 17, 2024, by calling BSLC (253) 922-6977) or emailing staff@mybslc.com. Please note a lack of response does not mean the RSVP was not received. Our office manager will be tracking the responses but may not return a follow-up call or email.
We have attached fliers for you to use in your bulletin, newsletter, etc., to help advertise the workshop to your congregation. We will also be mailing you hard copies of the flyers to post and copy as needed. We do hope you will share this information with your congregation and plan to join us. All are welcome to attend, though the target audience for the workshop are the Pastor(s), Board of Stewardship, Treasurer, and Church Council.
