South Idaho Youth Workers Retreat

Who: Full-time & part-time youth workers, DCEs, pastoral leadership & volunteer youth workers, who serve youth & families in South Idaho. And your families!
What: An opportunity to gather youth & family ministry leaders from South Idaho for two days of best practices in youth ministry in Idaho, support in ministry, plans for youth ministry in South Idaho for the year ahead, and time to have fun and play at Camp Perkins!
Where: Camp Perkins LOM in Stanley, Idaho
When: August 14-16
Cost: $250 for worker & family! Register by Monday, July 24. Payments can be made out to and sent to Grace Lutheran Church (1350 Baldy Ave., Pocatello, ID 83201), Attention Ryan Strehlow. And in the memo line, please write “South Idaho Youth Retreat.”
Lodging: We will be staying in the retreat center at Camp Perkins, which are nicer motel-style rooms that have their own toilet and shower in each room. Each room contains a queen bed, a bunk bed with two twin mattresses, and a window bed that is a twin mattress. Each room will sleep 5 people fairly comfortably.
Food: All meals will be cooked by camp staff starting with dinner on Monday through breakfast on Wednesday morning. Cost of meals is included in the registration. Please let Camp Perkins know of any food allergies no later than August 1 — they can accommodate almost all allergies or dietary needs!
Why: With the growing presence of youth ministry in South Idaho in our churches, it is important for us to get together to:
· Grow in our craft through best practices in ministry discussions
· Lending support to one another in high and low moments in ministry
· Set a cohesive plan for youth ministry in South Idaho for the year ahead by making sure that we hit the best dates for events so that more kids can be impacted by the gospel
· Retreat with your families to recharge and reset so that your ministry can have a high impact when you return to it
The cost of this event is being offset by both the Northwest District and Camp Perkins.
