The Longest Night Service

On Dec. 21, St. John Lutheran Church will hold a Longest Night Service during the winter solstice — A worship service designed to create space for those who have experienced loss and know its accompanying sadness.
You are invited to attend this hour-long contemplative service which acknowledges our burdens and grief. The time together offers comfort and hope through readings, songs, prayers, scripture, and candle lighting. The service will also be dimly lit so attendees can express their emotions if they feel comfortable doing so. When each person leaves the service, they will hopefully have peace, hope, and the understanding that Christ is with them even at their worst times. All are welcome.
