Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:45 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

Key Responsibilities
Create a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom that is physically safe, emotionally supportive, and welcoming. Develop clear routines and structures that promote student success using positive behavior strategies.
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies using developmentally appropriate strategies.
Early Literacy & Numeracy Development: Demonstrate an understanding of early literacy development. Build strong foundational skills in phonics, reading fluency and comprehension, writing, and mathematics through differentiated instruction.
Family Communication: Maintain consistent, professional communication with families regarding student progress, classroom updates, and any academic or behavioral concerns.
Assessment & Differentiation: Monitor and evaluate student progress using data to guide instruction. Differentiate teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
Student Development: Build strong relationships with students while fostering positive behavior, curiosity, and a love of learning. Support students’ social and emotional development.
Faith Integration: Intentionally integrate faith into daily instruction and model Christian values in all interactions.
School Engagement: Actively participate in chapel, school events, professional development, and community-building activities in support of the school’s mission.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
•Washington State Teacher Certification
•Strong classroom management and communication skills
•Positive, growth mindset and willing to continue to learn
•Personal commitment to the mission of Christian education
•Preferred: At least 2 years classroom teaching experience
