NOW Youth, Adults Gather for Fellowship in NOLA

On Monday, July 21, NOW District attendees at the LCMS Youth Gathering joined for a special evening of fellowship and fun at the Audubon Aquarium in New Orleans. The event offered a unique opportunity to explore the captivating exhibits of the aquarium while enjoying delicious local cuisine and warm company.

Guests were treated to a menu that celebrated southern flavors, including jambalaya, barbecue sandwiches, mac and cheese, chicken fingers, and classic New Orleans beignets. While admiring sea turtles, jellyfish, and the vibrant reef displays, attendees were able to connect and unwind in a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere.

A special thank you goes out to Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP) for their generous partnership in making this event possible. Their support helped bring our district together in a memorable and meaningful way.

From the stunning aquatic life to the shared laughter and conversation, the night was a true highlight of our time at the Gathering. With New Orleans in our rearview mirrors, we now look ahead to San Antonio for the 2028 LCMS Youth Gathering.

It was my sincere pleasure to be the Northwest District Coordinator for the youth gathering and to facilitate the event at the aquarium, as well as serving in our booth at the convention center. Attendees: Please be on the lookout for an evaluation regarding the event.
