Puget Sound Youth Gathering Brings Middle Schoolers Together

“In All Things” (Colossians 1:15-20) was the theme of the recent Middle School Youth Gathering for Puget Sound youth that was held March 11-12.

The event was held at Lake Retreat near Ravensdale, Washington, and arranged by the Puget Sound Youth Board. This annual gathering had been on a pandemic hiatus since March 2020. Pastor Dan Weber (St. Luke’s in Federal Way, Washington) was the guest presenter who shared biblical highlights from Synod’s National Youth Gathering last summer in Houston.

He also teamed up with Camp Lutherhaven’s Daniel Baker to lead music and worship. About 30 youth participated, along with 20 adults. A dozen Puget Sound congregations were represented. Suzy Henning (DCE at King of Kings in Renton, Washington) chairs the PSYB. Alanna Davis (DCE at Epiphany in Kenmore, Washington) and Ruth Ann Shimoi (Deaconess at Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest) served as co-registrars.

Pastor John Schmidt was the event photographer who contributed all photos below. (Click the thumbnail for an enlarged version.)
