This summer, two of our Northwest District congregations that gather and worship in the Amharic language — Christ the Son of God Lutheran Church in the Beacon Hill area of Seattle, Washington and Mekane Yesus Lutheran Church in Mountlake Terrace, Washington — received Catalyst Grants from the Northwest District to start new preschools. They are intent to see a new generation of people covered in the healing canopy of faith, so they are spreading the word of Christ from which faith grows.
